Senior Youth Theatre Performance Groups:

This project will use drama exercises and improvisation to develop a performance. It’s a great opportunity to try out your acting skill and have a say in what you create.

Senior Youth Theatre Devising group

The group will work towards a devised performance, using the drama activities and exercises from the weekly workshops to create a piece of theatre. Each group is led by two experienced theatre workshop tutors and a team of volunteer assistants.

To be held on:

Thursdays

May – July, with performances on 30th July 2024

Senior Youth Theatre Acting group

The Senior Youth Theatre is a place to build acting skills, vocal range, stage presence, creativity and confidence. You will be expected to take part in the full project.  Workshops and rehearsals are built on drama games, script work, improvisation and characterisation.

To be held on:

Mondays

June – August with performances on 9th August 2024

HATCH (Ages 16-25)

Hatch is a creative project that will aim to give Young Creatives the opportunity to develop their own creative practice: as writers, performers, directors and producers, through creative development sessions.

How do I get involved?

To take part in Senior Youth Theatre you need to:

  • Be aged between 14-21 and be keen to take part
  • Live or learn in the London Borough of Lewisham
  • Attend no other after school drama group
  • Priority is given to those who attend state/free schools, academies or home schooling
